Dr. Holmes is the owner of Holmes Physical Therapy, LLC. He has a passion for helping friends and fellow West Tennesseans feel better and move better with the goal of staying better. He cares for each of his patients by listening to their problem as he has been a patient who suffered from joint pain himself.
The path to Holmes Physical Therapy, LLC, started when Ken Keach, PT, DPT, Cert MDT, invested his time in Dr. Holmes as a young PT student. Dr. Keach was Dr. Holmes’s clinical instructor and challenged him to question every move a patient made and to maintain integrity in every aspect of patient care. Dr. Keach’s investment taught Dr. Holmes how to resolve his very own severe case of neck pain, which he was previously unable to resolve and had been worsened by other therapy approaches. This opened Dr. Holmes’s eyes to the fact that treating joint pain can be very simple at times.
The approach Dr. Keach taught Dr. Holmes is known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. In 2012, Dr. Holmes was credentialed in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy through the Mckenzie Institute, USA. He quickly realized he needed further mentoring to get the same results as expert clinicians in his field. This led Dr. Holmes to work for Mark Miller and Chad Gray in Tallahassee, FL, where he was trained in treatment techniques that prevent surgeries and decrease the chance of needing to come back to physical therapy, chiropractic, or any other type of physician for that same problem. Dr. Holmes had a goal for West TN to have access to this type of care and is excited to now make that a reality.
Dr. Holmes was born and raised in Milan, TN, by his parents, Hal and Niecie Holmes. He resides in Medina, TN, were he is actively involved in the community. He is married to his beauitful bride, Bonnie, and they have a precious little daughter, Emmaline. Both he and his wife are active members of Englewood North Campus.
